Abstract handling

Phase 1 – the basis

  • Inventory the information required from the abstract handling process before, during and after the event and specify, in consultation with the client, a number of parameters.
  • Draw–up an abstract handling schedule/planning based on the above points.

Phase 2 – the execution

  • Set-up the database
  • Set-up the abstract form, review form and all the related correspondence
  • Download and check the abstracts and correspondence with the authors
  • Allocate the abstracts to the reviewers and process the review scores 
  • Notify the authors of the outcome of the review
  • Tell the session Chairmen which abstracts will be in each session
  • Compile the on-line scientific programme
